Teacher questionnaire completed: Teachers were asked to reflect on the implementation of ICT and Inquiry learning in their classrooms.
Senior student Powerpoint examples:
Senior students (Y7-Y8) were all proud of their work and keen to share examples of their work. Teacher used Powerpoint as a motivating tool and to help students to give a formal speech about a famous person. Students said that they learned lots about what they can do with a computer. They researched their chosen person, wrote information, organised information according to teacher directions (character writing format) and used various skills (searching
google, importing pictures, sorting slides, animation, hyperlinking, text and picture formatting) to make their presentation. Students used the projector to share their powerpoint with the class. Future goals: writing Bibliographies, time management. It was exciting to note that some of the boys who do not usually enjoy literacy work were more enthusiastic and motivated during the process.
